8MS Changes You Need to Know About!

What’s sizzling this summer? Our latest release of 8MS that’s what! Here’s everything you can expect in our 15.2 release, including the addition of Century Link 5102 (formerly Level 3) on Carrier Express, changes to the ROC, as well as much anticipated changes to the Edit Plan 2.0. Let’s take a look!

Release 15.2 of 8MS adds CenturyLink-5102 as a new carrier under Carrier Express. Numbers may now be activated on the CenturyLink 5102 network. This is extremely helpful to our customers who previously had to spend arduous effort in manual and time-consuming steps to provision their numbers. With the addition of CenturyLink 5102, Carrier Express allows for batch number lists with CenturyLink 5102, and can take mere minutes to load and approve. Now, Carrier Express supports customers looking to seamlessly provision numbers in SOMOS and provision in the CenturyLink 5102 network.

Another great update is the EditPlan 2.0. As many users know, the EditPlan is essential to their daily use of provisioning numbers. With this feature completely removed from Java, users have 100% complete use of all the EditPlan functionalities. The browser-native (non Java-based) version of EditPlan now provides Label Editors, allowing full editing of routing plans. Before, users have only partial access, thus making it more difficult to set their routing plans. Now, users have the ability to fully edit their routing plans and set labels. This is essential for customers looking to route, for example, multiple states to any given carrier. Rather than having to write each label out individually, they can now group all the states under one label. Additionally, the Label Editor dialogs are now available. While features such as auto build, cut, copy, paste and label cleanup are not yet available, users may now fully edit routing plans.

Lastly, the new ROC features now include all file names for LOA documents and other files will now be validated locally allowing for faster approval, the ability to now generate an LOA pdf, as well as the capability to reject TFNs in a request with a free-text reason along with predefined reason codes. Users can also search by predefined reason codes on the ROC management page.

Additional changes in Carrier Express include:

Record Management

A CenturyLink-5102 tab has been added. Users may activate, modify or move numbers at the CenturyLink 5102 network. This allows users to seamlessly update data without having to know whether or not a number exists.

Disconnect

A CenturyLink-5102 tab has been added. Users may disconnect numbers at the CenturyLink 5102 network. This feature is helpful to those using 8MS Carrier Express where they can easily disconnect their numbers from the CenturyLink 5102 network without having to leave the 8MS platform.

A CenturyLink-5102 tab has been added. Users may view old records sent from 8MS to CenturyLink 5102. Being able to view these records allows users to know when their orders are complete.
